Area & Oriental Rug Washing
In-Plant Rug Cleaning is recommended for Oriental Rugs and loose woven rugs. Nesheim’s cares for the finest to the most basic rugs from around the world. We will pick your rug up and bring it to our special cleaning plant where it will receive our very thorough 14-Step Cleaning System to get maximum soil and spot removal. Having your rug cleaned in our plant allows us to give it several treatments for a more thorough cleaning, controlled drying, and the use of various tools that are not available on location. Our cleaning technicians will inspect the rug for any damage or potential damage. We promise to do the following:

- Pre-Inspection and Pick Up
- Pre-Test: We will pre-test color fastness of all rug colors for any signs of fugitive dyes (bleeding).
- Dusting: Most of the sand and dust will be removed using our special dust removing system.
- Vacuum: Face yarns are vacuumed to remove nearly all of the dry soil.
- Pre-Condition: The rugs are pre-conditioned with special cleaning compounds designed specifically for your particular rug.
- Cleaning: We employ either shampoo, extraction or low moisture cleaning depending on style, structure and dye stability of the rug.
- Encapsulation: It helps to soften fibers and makes colors more vibrant. Also helps for future soil removal when vacuuming.
- Fringes: Fringes are cleaned and groomed by hand.
- Rinsing: Once the rug has been cleaned and the remaining soil has been loosened, the rug is completely flushed with cool water removing the soil and cleaning solution.
- Post Grooming: The rug pile is set in one direction (using a special nap brush) for faster drying and visual appeal.
- Dry Rug: Rugs are placed into a large spinning rotational machine while cold water in injected to remove excess cleaners and residues that may be left behind during the cleaning process. The rug is then placed into a special drying area to dry quickly and safely.
- Post Spot Treatment: After the rug is dried, it is inspected and a final touch up is performed.
- Stain Protection: Stain protector can be applied at an additional cost.
- Packaging: After a final inspection, the rug is wrapped in paper awaiting pickup or delivery.

I needed my 3rd floor apartment’s carpets cleaned prior to a move out and not only did Nesheim’s give the most competitive price by far, but they’re also local. All initial communications with the team via email was prompt, courteous and my questions were well answered. The initial inspection was also really helpful and also assured me to the actual cost (no surprises!). Lastly, the technician who came and cleaned our carpet was polite and considerate during COVID as well as friendly. All work was completed faster than estimated. We would definitely use Nesheim’s again!
I request and received an in person inspection and quote. An appointment was set and as a result of all concerns being addressed and questions answered the appointment was set and agreed to. The 64 year old hardwood floors were showing wear, especially in the high traffic areas and the grout in the kitchen/dining room and two bathrooms needed professional cleaning. Employees of Nesheim were respectful, polite and professional and the floors look amazing. If there is anything negative at all to reference for this review, it would have to be not sticking to the original schedule discussed at the time I signed the contract. But overall, I am very pleased with the results!. I would recommend Nesheim’s for your hardwood floors and grout cleaning.
Outstanding customer service from beginning to end with Neishem’s. From the first call to set up service through our amazing technicians Eddie and Jason, the experience was terrific. Eddie and Jason went out of their way to work through the July 4th holiday weekend, keep us completely informed and communicated throughout the whole water damage mitigation process (which can be stressful). They were kind, respectful, and did excellent work. We will use them for all our carpet, flooring and water damage needs in the future.
Once again Nesheim’s did not disappoint! They did an excellent job cleaning the carpet on three floors of the house, including getting out some dark stains. The quality work they do is worth every penny! I will continue to patronize this business because I know I will be satisfied with the end result.
